Why Hire A Professional Officiate?

If you’re anything like most couples who are planning a wedding, deciding to hire a wedding officiate is only one of the many decisions you will need to make.

Right now you may be considering hiring a professional or asking a friend or family member to perform your ceremony. For many couples, it might seem like there isn’t much of a difference between using a friend or hiring a professional, but there are quite a few major advantages to hiring an experienced professional to perform your wedding ceremony.

Most couples have limited funds and a tight budget and can quickly find their wedding day becoming very costly. It is important to know, however, where you are making a “sensible saving,” and when you are cutting critical corners.

Please don’t make all of your wedding day decisions based on price alone; because as they always say – "you get what you pay for."

So why would you hire a professional officiate?

First of all – EXPERIENCE.  There is far more to performing a wedding ceremony than simply reading from a script that you found online. Your officiate needs to identify with and recognize what you are trying to say to each other and to your attendants. Most people can read well with practice, but a professional officiate will give your chosen words true voice and character.

I’ve personally been to many weddings where a boring officiate has lifelessly read through a dull script leaving everyone with a feeling of “when will this all be over?” A professional wedding minister will know how to bring your ceremony to life.

I have an upbeat nature, and a good and appropriate sense of humor. I know how to move from section to section with GRACE AND STYLE and I can improvise on the spot if needed.

Second, with experience comes RELIABILITY. Ultimately, I am there for you both. I try to show up 30 minutes early to give both the planner and the bride some assurances. I am dressed to match your event colors and I am ready to help in any way I can with your wedding party or vendors before your ceremony.

Most weddings go exactly as planned without any glitches, but if issues should arise, a professional officiate can react and adapt appropriately to almost anything your ceremony throws out. I can handle a late start, technical problems, noises from the audience, fainting groomsmen and even weird camera flashes.

The bottom line is; PROTECT YOURSELF. Flowers and runners and dresses are all very pretty, but in the end it’s all window dressing. The wedding ceremony, the words that are spoken and how they are spoken are the things you’ll remember forever.

Let me offer you invaluable help in planning and preparing your ceremony. I am fully available to you through your planning process, and I am happy to answer any questions or concerns that you might have.
